SINGAPORE, February 2016 - Global British shoe brand Clarks is pleased to introduce a Spring/ Summer 2016 collection which brings heritage and craftsmanship from the archive into the here-and-now with  modern innovations and of-the-moment details. Clarks creates the epitome of effortless British style with offerings which have the authenticity of the past and a nod to the trends of the season.

Spanning from a collection designed to offer chic solutions to transitional dressing through to a bright and bold celebration of the height of summer, SS16 sees Clarks icons like the Desert Boot and archive techniques such as Polyveldt used as inspiration for shoes which are perfect for the season. Whether it’s elegant heels or athletic flats, Clarks SS16 has beautifully crafted styles to suit any situation.

Clarks rewind to the fashion moment of the 60s when British style enjoyed its heyday via archive references mixed back with modern inspirations. A timeless block heel feels just as right now as it did then. There’s a playful feel courtesy of fuchsia, blush pink and glazed blue hues alongside pared-back light neutrals.

Prim yet upbeat, Chinaberry Fun is infused with nods to retro including a statement rectangle trim and square toe shape.

Meanwhile, Pravana Rose offers a more minimal, contemporary spin with a pointed toe and elevated block heel. Patent finishes are an unmistakably 60s touch.

Effortlessly stylish casual shoes are natural territory for Clarks. When it was created in 1950, the Clarks Desert Boot defined a new smart yet relaxed way to dress. It is this attitude which is still at the heart of this British brand. Now Clarks have looked back to innovative techniques from the past and given them a new twist for today.

Ledella York is a take on the 70s clog from Clarks, a nod to the continued 70s revival. Buckle straps and studs are original details but a flexible wooden-look sole gives an ultra-comfortable interpretation of the trend. Polyveldt is an authentic 70s construction, pioneered by Clarks.

The Hexton Glitz updates Polyveldt for now with chunky buckled straps and ultralight EVA soles. The palette of white and lilac introduces a futuristic refresh.

In recognition of modern lives where everyday style mixes casual spirit and athletic sensibilities, Clarks creates an offering which brings innovative techniques to the fore. With Clarks heritage of unconventional thinking in mind, completely new silhouettes are introduced. Born in our Originals collection, the Flex 3 sole technology is at the heart of Modern Craft. A shoe in three parts which reflects the freedom of walking barefoot, Flex 3 is an exciting new approach to laidback footwear.

With sleek lines, chunky straps and a clean palette, Tri Nova has a Flex 3 sole and is a future-gazing Clarks response to the athleisure movement.

Pastina Mallory takes distinctively sporty details like Velcro straps and laser cut details and transforms them into a polished, block heel with a track side feel.
